per recuperare la license file :

The easiest way would be to find the email from Avangate (“Audirvana Plus”) that contains your license file.

Otherwise, you can redownload it directly from avangate.com:

Go to the “Shopper Support” section of avangate.com

Then to “My Account”

You’ll need to use the email address used for the purchase and your order #

And you’ll have access to your license file.

The development of the Audirvana Plus 3.0 application is complete.
But I’m waiting for a last update of the MQA Core Decoder library, providing some last minor bug fixes. They are willing to provide something perfect for the first integration in an audiophile player, knowing the audiophile community is quite demanding in terms of sound quality. Since it does not depend on me, I can't promise any release date, but my understanding is that it is a matter of days

se non interessa la decodifica MQA esiste una ragione per passare dalla release 2.6.6. alla release 3 ?

se si fa l'aggiornamento alla 3 allora dopo 15 giorni finisce la prova e se non si vuole

pagare l'aggiornamento bisogna reinstallare la release 2.6.6. scaricabile al seguente link

I have a question about the MQA options.

When no MQA device is detected, A+ v3 give me the option to select (see screenshot). I'm guessing these options tell A+ how to handle MQA files for output.

1. Not MQA Device
2. MQA Renderer Device
3. MQA Decoder Device




I'm guessing if I select option 1, A+ handles software decoding of the core and option 3 just send MQA out bit perfect to the hardware decoder. But, what happens if I select option 2? Doesn't that also handle software decoding of the core just like option 1?

That's correct:

1. A+ handles software core decoding, and any further audio processing (upsampling, audio units, ...) is available
2. MQA Renderer (e.g. Audioquest DragonFly) A+ handles software core decoding, but any further audio processing is disabled for MQA files
3. MQA Decoder (e.g. Meridian Explorer 2) No audio processing nor decoding. MQA files signal send bit perfect to the DAC that does all the MQA decoding and rendering

Audio processing is disabled for 2 & 3 so that the MQA DAC gets the MQA signal correctly and thus recognises it.
ReplayGain commands are then transmitted to the DAC for gain control in the DAC.

But note that for such gain commands to be send to the DAC, it needs to be detected as MQA DAC.

A USB connected MQA DAC is automatically detected as such. These manual settings are there only for the case a MQA DAC is connected through a unidirectional link (e.g. S/PDIF) and thus can't tell it is MQA

I have a strange issue.
When I start Audirvana Plus (3.0), I get the message box that says it is unable to verify the license.
It goes away as soon as I have the internet connection.
Question: is that a bug or an intended behavior?

The license validation must be done once every 2 weeks.

So you need to connect your Mac to the Internet every two weeks.

semplicemente basta creare un database di licenza con annesso il numero seriale del computer

( ottenuto tramite una ricerca fatta da audirvana)

per cui basta convalidare la licenza una sola volta attraverso internet e non ogni 15 giorni.

Audirvana Plus connects to audirvana.com for only two purposes:

1. To check the license

2. To check and download updates

BTW, you connect your Mac for so many other purposes (checking email, going on the web, including here on CA, …), sending audio data to a network player, …

Per chi ha un Dac con un Sabre 9018 potrebbe fare questa prova facendo l'upsampling dei file 44,1 configurando come in foto e dirmi qualche parere...trovo il tutto un suono molto naturale e meglio definito/separato che l'ascolto della versione originale

Regarding the licensing mechanism, I'll increase the no connection grace period to 60 days. This means you'll get a complaint from Audirvana Plus if you relaunch it while your computer has not been connected for a consecutive period of 60 days. FYI, it is checking the license only when starting.
And I'm not sure any one here will live disconnected for such a long period.

Just released 3.0.6 update that increases the license check grace period from 14 to 60 days, and also brings:

Fix surround channels not played on a multichannel system
Allow only one instance of Audirvana Plus to run simultaneously on same computer to avoid database corruption
Fix CueSheet not loading correctly album artist for first track
Fix AudioUnits effects not working when upsampling to DSD
Starting playback on a track in shuffle mode starts with this track at beginning of shuffled play queue
Fix discontinuity when playing back some AAC files in 32bit not upsampled mode (files with silence at beginning)
Fix Smart playlist "is" criteria with empty value

la risposta è si per causa forza maggiore (per quanto riguarda la funzionalità di software player).

comunque non faccio per ora l'upgrade alla release 3 di Audirvana.
