porto su la discussione per riportare la risposta di graham slee in merito alla richiesta di W della audeze..
LCD2 as quoted by Audeze:
Impedance: 60 Ohms, purely resistive
Efficiency: 90 dB/1 mW
Maximum power handling: 15 W (for 200 ms)
Optimal power requirement: 1-4 W
200 milli-seconds... before they fry your brain.
Here again we see the power thing.... "Optimal power requirement: 1-4 W"
It means nothing unless qualified by the impedance. OK, they're 60 Ohms, so let's assume they mean 60 Ohms...
4W x 60 Ohms gives 240. The square root of 240 is 15.49. That is the rms voltage required to drive 60 Ohms to 4 watts: 15.49²/60 = 4. That's the equivalent of a 30 watt into 8 Ohm amp.
The spec also says its sensitivity is 90dB for 1 milli-watt. At 4W that is 4,000 times more power which would raise the sound pressure by 36dB ((log of 4,000 x 10) dB), giving you 126dB.
Is that optimum? Maybe for somebody who is stone deaf!
1 Watt is 1,000 times more power which is 30dB more sound pressure, giving 120dB. Again very desirable for the stone deaf person.
Now let's assume they meant 1-4W into 8 Ohms....
1W into 8 Ohms gives 2.83V, and 4W into 8 Ohms gives 5.66V.
2.83V into 60 Ohms gives (2.83²/60) 133 mili-watts.
5.66V into 60 Ohms gives (5.66²/60) 533 milli-watts.
133 milli-watts raises the sound pressure by 21dB to 111dB (quite loud)
533 milli-watts raises the sound pressure by 27dB to 117dB (quite loud)
And therefore they mean by using an amp that would (theoretically) drive 1-4 watts into 8 Ohms.
But, to confuse you Mr (or Mrs) Customer they don't explain themselves very well.
The Solo ULDE outputs 4 volts max rms into 60 Ohms...
That's 4²/60 which is 267 milli-watts, which just happens to be between 133 milli-watts and 533 milli-watts.
And that answers the question: the ULDE will raise the sound pressure by 24dB to 114dB, which is slap bang inbetween 111dB and 117dB.
che ne pensate??
se necessitate di traduzione non c'e' problema, ma mi pare abbastanza chiaro essendo piu che altro formule matematiche
e quindi per questo motivo per me astruse
